31st December 2021
We hope that you have all had a lovely Christmas and have been able to spend time with your families.
We are writing to inform you of some key organisational changes for the first half term.
From Thursday 6th January the school will be returning to bubbles. This will be in two groups, EYFS and KS1. A “soft start” will continue to the school day. This means that doors will open from 8.50am until 9am and we ask that you just drop off your child then leave the school grounds. We would like everyone to wear a face-mask (unless you are exempt). Can we also remind you to socially distance from the classroom door. If you do have anything that needs sharing with the class teacher then either wait back until a suitable time is available or call/e mail the school office and they will pass on your message or ask the teacher to contact you.
We will stop sending out reading books and return to using BugClub and homework will be via online learning platforms.
Although we have not received updated guidance from DFE we feel this is the best choice for our school to remain open for as long as we can.
You have all supported the school from the outset of COVID and know that you will continue to support us through the rest of this new wave/variant.
Staff will be in school on Wednesday 5th January for INSET so if you have any queries/concerns regarding returning to school then please contact us and we will endeavour to call you on that date. We feel that, to the children, there will be little change in their daily routines and do not want to cause any unnecessary upheaval/distress.
Kind Regards and Happy New Year
Ms C Logan
