World Book Week at Northfields

World Book Week at Northfields  - Monday 2nd - Friday 6th March.

We have lots of exciting activities planned for World Book Week 2020! To start off the week we have a visit from the author Julia Jarman on Monday 2nd March. Julia will be visiting and working with all classes throughout the day and sharing some of her best loved books. We’re also very pleased that Julia will be staying with us at the end of the day for a book sale and signing event. Please pop in after school on Monday and Julia will be delighted to meet you.

On Friday 6th March we will be holding our World Book Day dressing up event. If your child wishes to join in the fun we ask that they dress up as a favourite book character and bring along a copy of the character’s book if possible, as we would like to share as many books as we can on the day. This has proved to be a very popular event in the past  and we can’t wait to see all your imaginative ideas again this year!

We will also be running a competition to recreate the front cover of a favourite book, actual or re-imagined by you! Look out for letters coming home soon.  Please ensure entries are in school by Thursday 5th March at the latest and there will be a prize for each year group.

We are very excited about celebrating World Book Week at Northfields and are sure it’s going to be a fun and educational week for children and staff alike! Many thanks for your continued support.
