Gardening Club
Every Monday ten very keen gardeners stay after school to work outside around the school grounds.
We have our very own growing area and this year we have grown carrots, potatoes, spring onions, peas, red and green peppers, rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, apples, pears and sunflowers.
At the beginning of the club there is a £20 cost to attend the club. This covers any resources which will be brought during the time the club will run.
We are always on the look out for free resources offered to schools to support our gardening club.
In 2015 & 2016 we won the Arch Community Group Scarecrow Competition and we went to RHS Hampton Court Flower Show to exhibit our scarecrows.
We also won lots of prizes in LDGA Summer and Autumn shows, including First Prize for our collage and 2nd Prize for our vegetable display.
Over the years we raised funds for our gardening club by making Xmas decorations from natural materials and planting hyacinths and decorating the pots.
We are looking forward to growing more this year.
