Sensory room –
Our new Sensory room has been installed within the school this year with the help of funding and NIPA. We are very lucky as our sensory room is a place where children can go for sensory breaks, relaxation and de-escalation. Children with autism, emotional and behavioural difficulties, sensory processing disorder, or other special needs can find themselves overwhelmed and in need of a safe and distracting place to return to a state of calm.
The sensory room is the perfect place to go in order to do this. Inside we have an amazing multisensory unit which can play relaxing music and has an interactive infinity mirror.
If you would like to have a look inside please ask to make an appointment at the school office. Mrs Palmer the school SENCo will be happy to show you around.
